We take you swimming with whales and more...

Majestic Whale Encounters is a family run company who’s sole purpose is to take our guests on a journey, the experience of a lifetime that few people will ever have the chance to do. From the moment you're picked up at the airport till the time you sadly depart from us, all your worries will be taken care of. You will spend your days in the company of wonderful people who’s number one concern is that you are having the time of your life.

Whether that would be relaxing on the beautiful white sandy beaches, snorkelling the coral reefs, reading your favourite book in a hammock, sipping on cocktails as the sun goes down, frolicking with whales and Dolphins in various parts of the world, on a Leopard Safari in Sri Lanka, trekking with Gorillas in Rwanda and much, much more… Everything for your dream holiday awaits you.

You will become immersed in Local cultures and cuisines and relax in comfortable accommodation during your adventure. The locals are more than happy to share their knowledge and history to make your time away a memorable one.

Carmen and Matt

Carmen has always lived her life with the motto that ‘you only live once’, and that if you want something, you should go for it. That drive, combined with her love of the ocean, has enabled her to live her dream of sharing this life changing experience with people from around the world of swimming with God’s most amazing of creatures ‘the Humpback Whale’.

Carmen is involved in conservation of marine mammals and has a lot of passion for these amazing humpback whales. She is keen to share with others so they may develop a deeper understanding of these spiritual creatures.

Her husband Matt is an avid surfer who also shares a love of the ocean. Initially, Carmen brought him along to a whale season in Tonga to work alongside her as a swimming with whales guide and it wasn’t too long before he fell in love with the whole experience and the beauty of the marine life in Tonga.

Carmen, Matt and their three daughters live on the Central Coast of Australia and as a family they are never far away from any ocean.

Sarah and Nathan

As of 2014, Sarah Cullen officially joined the team as a new co-owner.

Sarah has always had a love of nature and travel like her older sister Carmen and is so excited to be a part of this incredible venture. She has had many jobs working with animals and is a keen conservationist. You might even meet her husband, Nathan, who will be there for part of the season, he will make sure you are always entertained and share with you his love of the ocean.

Sarah says the most exciting thing about being a part of Majestic Whale Encounters is the look on the guests faces when after they have had an underwater experience with the whale, it is a truly surreal experience that you will never forget.

The Story of Majestic

I have always had a major curiosity about whales and dolphins and from a very young age had constant dreams of swimming in their underwater fantasy world. (I still do to this day!)

I grew up on the beautiful beaches of Cronulla (south of Sydney- Gods country as we called it!) and did everything I could do to be a part of it, I learnt to scuba dive at a young age, I read as many whale and dolphin books as I could find fill my mind with and spent as much time in the ocean and around the ocean as possible. I had found an entire new universe that I never knew existed. This had opened up a new understanding and respect of this new exciting world.

Responsible Whale Watching

"Responsible Whale Watching and swimming means that we as tour operators have a goal to respect, protect and conserve the Whales, Dolphins and marine environment.

“Maximum experience and observation with Minimum impact”

We are aware of and adhere to any local government whale watching guidelines. We have a responsibility to educate the guests on board about the behaviours, biology, and general whale information.

With the hope that our guests will come away from the experience with a respect for these animals and their environment and an interest in protecting the Whales, Dolphins and our oceans."

Protect and Connect

"At Majestic Whale Encounters, our mission is to protect the environment and all the beautiful creatures in our world. We want to convey our message to as many people as possible so that they may also find the ability to connect to these amazing animals.

Love - Without love what do we have? Love is our most basic instinct and it literally is what makes the world go round. The reason we started Majestic Whale Encounters is because of our love for animals and also the reason why all of our guests want to come along for the ride of a lifetime.

Protect - This is an important one. There are many ways in which we protect the animals. Our approach is always to consider the safety of the animals and to follow ethical guidelines that are put into place to keep both them and us safe. We also donate to many different organisations and charities that benefit the local community and also protection of the animals and their environments.

Connect - It's incredible the connection you can feel from observing these beautiful creatures in their natural environment. Coming eye to eye with a whale or many of the other animals on tour will forge a connection where you can feel the animals' emotions and gain a deeper respect which in turn will also make you want to protect them."
