Answer: MWE will be taking 8 guests in this once in a lifetime trip.
Answer: The Austral islands enjoy a cooler climate than their neighbours in Tahiti . Its a much more pleasant day temperature of approx 26 degrees during the whale season. With nights cooling down to allow for a better nights sleep. Days on the boat can get a little windy, though once back on land, you'll find it's a lovely temperature. September/October is the perfect time to be there if you would like to experience swimming with the Majestic South Pacific Humpback Whales which is why we have chosen these as the perfect months for MWE guests!

Rurutu has a very large French influence in their cooking which incorporates seasonal local foods. Baguettes can always be found as well as croissants and crepes for breakfast! Answer:
Rurutu is a remote, untouched paradise with very little tourists. An idyllic little gem in the Austral Islands that combines a rugged and stunning landscape with our favourite activity...whale swimming! Swim with the Majestic humpback whales and other incredible sea creatures in crystal clear waters surrounding the island. Hike, climb and explore the fascinating limestone caves and spend your free time lazing about on the beautiful beaches. Sounds pretty appealing, huh?
Answer:
Your whale swimming tour goes for 4 hours daily. This includes the transfer and it will average out to approx 3 hours or so per day. The whales don’t tend to be resting very far from the fringing reef of the island and so time taken to get to the whales is minimal most days.
Answer:
There is internet at your accommodation, however being on an island it doesn’t always work and can be rather patchy and slow. We encourage our guests to try very hard to get on to island time, relax, enjoy the experience and leave the electronic world behind for a while if you can. I know it’s a hard ask but it can be totally worth the effort!
Answer:
Your tour will be led by a Majestic Whale Encounters guide. They will be taking some photos during your tour, however they are not professional photographers as their job is to focus on our guests needs. Many of our guests find that the quality of Go Pro cameras are amazing especially for underwater video. They’re very small to travel with and user friendly. Please contact us if you would like more information on this.
