What is the best time to travel to Tahiti for the whales?List Item 4

Will we experience the local culture?
Answer:
You most certainly will. On this tour we will be taking you to one of the best French Polynesian dancing and dinner shows on the island of Moorea. You may even find yourself joining in ;)

What meals are included?
Answer:
All main meals are included on the catamaran prepared by our lovely hostess. You also have the option of having any meal you like at one of Moorea’s many restaurants and bars. This will be at extra cost to the individual. You are welcome to bring duty free alcohol on to the catamaran- soft drinks are included in your package.
-
Can dietary requirements be catered for on the catamaran?
Answer:
Yes most definitely. Just make sure to let us know well before the tour starts.
-
Will there be a professional photographer on tour?
Answer:
Your tour will be led by a Majestic Whale Encounters guide. They will be taking some photos during your tour, however they are not professional photographers as their job is to focus on our guests needs. Many of our guests find that the quality of Go Pro cameras are amazing especially for underwater video. They’re very small to travel with and user friendly. Please contact us if you would like more information on this.
-
Will I need to bring my own snorkel gear?
Answer:
We strongly advise to bring your own wetsuits, mask, snorkels and fins on tour if possible. The whale swimming boat has some fins and masks but very little choice in sizing. There are surprisingly no snorkel hire places on the island. If you would like recommendations on the types of wetsuits, snorkels, masks and fins please don’t hesitate to ask.

Is this a private charter?
Answer:
It sure is, it will only be our group on both the Catamaran and the whale swimming boat each day. As a group, we will have a say on where we would like to go.
-
What are the chances of swimming with whales?
Answer:
As with all our whale swimming tours as whales are wild animals we can never guarantee this 100%. As you can imagine the encounters are always on the whales terms. We can honestly say that we have had a VERY good track record over the many years we have been running whale swimming tours. We run our whale swimming days over a period of 5 days minimum to ensure the very best chances.
-

Answer:
There is no wifi on the catamaran however we can suggest that you buy a SIM card when entering Tahiti (these are available at the airport and other places throughout French Polynesia). We have further information for this on our Tahiti trip bulletins.
