Come and experience the joy of swimming with one of the ocean's greatest creatures. Once you arrive in Tonga, we’ll arrange for a transfer to take you straight to the hotel near the airport for a rest, and then the next day, you will fly over to Ha’apai where all the magic happens, and the fun begins.

You will then spend 7 nights in a beautiful secluded eco resort set on the island of Uoleva, which is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Tongan group. It sits along the eastern barrier reef of Ha'apai and takes 3 hours to walk around the whole island.

You will have 5 days out on the boat swimming with the majestic humpback whales, a memory that will last you for a lifetime. You will also have access to kayaks, paddle boards, an awesome reef out the front to snorkel in, or just reading a book on the beach. This eco resort is also a world renowned kite surfing spot, so if you are a keen kite surfer, this is one for you, or even as a beginner, a perfect place for your first lesson!

U'oleva is a very remote island. There are no shops, no roads, no nightlife. All food is grown or bought and it mostly comes from Nuku'alofa via the ferry once a week. There is not a lot of access to a lot of the niceties that are available in first world countries, but don't fret, your stay will be made as comfortable as possible, and the hosts are top notch!

The fales are some of the most comfortable and beautiful in Tonga. Please note that if you are expecting a pool with a cocktail bar, this is not the place for you. If you are expecting to get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life and relax in a tranquil environment that boasts absolutely beautiful beaches and of course the majestic experience of swimming with humpback whales, then this is definitely the place for you.

The accommodation on this beautiful remote island has many natural timbers to create a stunning South Pacific hideaway. You will be captivated by the romantic soft diffused lighting, exquisite ensuite bathrooms with hot solar showers and composting toilets, top quality linen and bedding including memory foam mattresses. Sit and watch the aqua blue water and whales passing on your own private verandah.

For your comfort each fale has its own dedicated solar power system (12v). you will have the comforts you require whilst still remaining way off the beaten track. The fales are all beachfront and are on raised stilts to give you stunning elevated views. They are constructed entirely of timber including the beautiful exposed cedar roofs. You won't find air conditioned fales on the island of Ha'apai but your accommodation will always remain comfortable no matter what the temperature is.
